How to Launch an MVP in 1 Week
Fast delivery only works when the team agrees on what the MVP is not. A 1-week sprint is about validation, not completeness. The goal is to ship the smallest usable product that answers a real business question.
1. Define one outcome
Choose a single measurable result for the sprint: capture more leads, cut a manual workflow, validate buyer demand, or prove a technical path. If you try to solve five outcomes in one week, the MVP becomes a half-finished product.
2. Cut the scope aggressively
Remove secondary dashboards, deep admin tools, advanced permissions, and edge-case flows. Keep only the one journey the user absolutely must complete for the MVP to be useful.
3. Align architecture early
Even a fast MVP needs sound structure. Decide the stack, deployment path, and data model before building. This avoids rework when the product gets traction and needs to scale.
4. Use AI as an accelerator, not a replacement
AI can speed up implementation, but engineering review still matters. The fastest teams use AI to move quickly while keeping human judgment on architecture, security, and quality.
5. End the week with a decision
The real output of a fast MVP is clarity. You should know whether to expand, iterate, pause, or invest further. A 1-week sprint works best when it creates a confident next move.
